The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released an indicative special advertisement (No. 51/2026) for the recruitment of Principals and Vice Principals in the Education Department, Government of NCT of Delhi. Eligibility Criteria

The pay scale is Level-12. For the Vice Principal post, a Master’s degree and a B.Ed. are required, along with mandatory experience as a PGT or TGT in recognized institutions. The pay scale is Level-10. Age limits vary: for Principal, the maximum age is 50 years for UR/EWS, 53 for OBC, and 55 for SC/ST. For Vice Principal, the maximum age is 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 for OBC, and 40 for SC/ST. The crucial date for age calculation is 14 August 2026.

Application Fee

General, OBC, and EWS male candidates must pay a fee of Rs. 25/-. SC, ST, PwBD, and all female candidates are exempted from the fee. Payment can be made online via net banking, credit/debit cards, or UPI.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of three stages: Stage 1 is a Recruitment Test (RT) or shortlisting based on qualifications. Stage 2 is a Personal Interview. Stage 3 involves document verification and medical fitness clearance. Candidates should prepare accordingly.
