JSSC JILCCE Intermediate Level Recruitment 2026: A Complete Overview

The Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC) has officially announced the Jharkhand Intermediate Level Combined Competitive Examination 2026 (JILCCE-2026) through Advertisement No. 03/2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 326 regular vacancies across various departments in the state. The correction window will remain open from 01 to 03 October 2026. The JSSC JILCCE exam date will be announced as per schedule, and admit cards will be available before the exam. The application fee is Rs. 100 for General/OBC/EWS candidates, Rs. 50 for SC/ST candidates (Jharkhand domicile), and PwBD candidates (40% or more disability) are exempted from paying any fee.

Age Limit and Eligibility Criteria

The minimum age limit is 18 years. The maximum age limits are as follows: General/EWS candidates: 35 years; OBC Men (EBC-I/BC-II): 37 years; General/OBC/EWS Female candidates: 38 years; SC/ST candidates (Male & Female): 40 years. For educational qualifications, candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate in Science stream or I.Sc. for Health Supervisor and Multi-Purpose Health Worker. Junior Field Investigator requires 10+2 Intermediate with Mathematics as a mandatory subject. Veterinary/Medical Assistant requires 10+2 Intermediate with Biology. Insect Collector and Fishery Technical Assistant require 10+2 Intermediate with Biology stream from a recognized institution.

The total 326 vacancies are distributed across various posts. Health Supervisor (Health Directorate) has 137 posts with pay scale Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 2400 (PB-I). Junior Field Investigator (Planning & Dev Dept) has 27 posts with pay scale Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 2000 (PB-I). Multi-Purpose Health Worker (Health Dept) has 62 posts with pay scale Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 1900 (PB-I). Veterinary/Medical Assistant (Urban Dev Dept) has 27 posts with pay scale Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 1900 (PB-I). Insect Collector (Health Directorate) has 32 posts with pay scale Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 1800 (PB-I). Selection Process and Exam Pattern

The selection process consists of two stages: Preliminary Exam and Mains Exam. However, if the total applications are less than 50,000, JSSC will directly hold the Mains exam. The examination will be conducted via Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR offline method, and scores across multiple shifts will be normalized. The marking scheme awards 3 marks for each correct answer and deducts 1 mark for each wrong answer. No negative marking applies for unattempted questions.

The Preliminary Written Examination is of 2 hours duration with 120 questions carrying a total of 360 marks. The subject breakdown includes General Studies (30 questions), Jharkhand State Related Knowledge (60 questions), General Mathematics (10 questions), General Science (10 questions), and Mental Ability & Logical Reasoning (10 questions).

The Mains Examination consists of three distinct papers, each of 2 hours duration. Paper 1 is Language Knowledge (Qualifying) with 120 questions covering Hindi Language (60 questions) and English Language (60 questions). Paper 2 is Regional/Tribal Language Knowledge with 100 questions where candidates can choose any one elective language from Hindi, English, Urdu, Santhali, Bengali, Mundari, Ho, Khadiya, Kudukh, Kurmali, Khortha, Nagpuri, Panchpargania, Odia, or Sanskrit. Paper 3 is General Knowledge with 120 questions covering General Studies (30 questions), Jharkhand GK (40 questions), General Science (20 questions), General Math (10 questions), Mental Ability (10 questions), and Basic Computer Knowledge (10 questions). The final merit list will be calculated based on the sum total marks scored in Paper 2 and Paper 3 combined.
