HAL Junior Executive Recruitment 2026: Apply Online for 150 Engineer Posts

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), a Maharatna Central Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has officially released a detailed advertisement for the engagement of Junior Executives on a Short Term Basis. The recruitment notification, bearing Advt. No. HAL/CHRC-TAR/RECT-03/2026, announces a total of 150 vacancies across nine distinct engineering disciplines. This presents an excellent opportunity for young graduate engineers to gain valuable experience in India's premier aerospace and defence organisation. The online application process is scheduled to run from 07 October 2026 to 17 October 2026, with the application window closing at 14:00 hrs on the final day.

HAL is seeking energetic and result-oriented Graduate Engineers and Professionals for engagement as Junior Executives. The selected candidates will be posted across HAL's Production, Overhaul and Service Divisions, Research and Development Centres, and Offices located in various parts of the country, including Bengaluru and Tumakuru in Karnataka, Hyderabad in Telangana, Nasik in Maharashtra, Koraput in Odisha, Barrackpore in West Bengal, and Lucknow, Kanpur and Korwa in Uttar Pradesh. The tenure of engagement is for a maximum period of three years from the date of engagement, and it is important to note that this engagement does not confer any right to claim regular executive status in the company.

The discipline-wise vacancy distribution is as follows: Mechanical has the highest number of vacancies at 78, followed by Electrical with 25 posts, Electronics with 21 posts, Civil with 7 posts, Computer Science with 6 posts, Production with 6 posts, Metallurgy with 3 posts, and Aeronautical and Chemical with 2 posts each. Reservation rules apply for SC, ST, OBC-NCL, EWS, and PwBD categories as per Government of India directives. The notification mentions 6 vacancies reserved for PwBDs, distributed among all categories. Candidates applying for OBC-NCL reservation must ensure they do not belong to the Creamy Layer, and their caste must appear in the Central List of Other Backward Classes. The OBC-NCL certificate must not be older than 6 months as on 17 October 2026.

To be eligible, candidates must hold a Regular or Full Time Degree in Engineering or Technology from recognised Universities or Institutes under the 10+2+4 system (10+3+3 for lateral entry) in the eligible branches specified for each discipline. The minimum aggregate marks required are 60% for UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates, and 50% for SC, ST, and PwBD candidates. The total marks obtained across all semesters or years are summed up to arrive at the aggregate percentage, with no rounding off permitted. Candidates with a Diploma along with an Engineering Degree must enter the marks of the Engineering Degree as qualifying marks. Integrated 5 or 6-year degree holders in relevant disciplines are also eligible.

The upper age limit is not above 28 years as on 17 October 2026 for UR and EWS category candidates. Age relaxation is available for SC/ST candidates by 5 years, OBC-NCL by 3 years, PwBD by 10 years over and above the relaxation admissible for their respective categories, and J&K domiciled candidates by 5 years. Ex-Servicemen and serving officers of the Armed Forces are eligible for relaxation as per company rules. The maximum age after all relaxations is 56 years for PwBDs and 55 years for other candidates.

The application fee is Rs. 500 inclusive of 18% GST for UR, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates. SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are exempted from payment. The fee must be paid online through SBI Collect, and once deposited, it is non-refundable. The selection process consists solely of an Interview. There is no written test. Candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria are shortlisted in the ratio of 1:10 to the number of vacancies in each discipline and category, based on aggregate marks scored in the qualifying examination. Shortlisted candidates will be assessed by a Selection Committee through an Interview, and must secure at least 50% marks to qualify. The final selection is based on interview performance.

Selected candidates will be inducted in the E0 Pay Scale of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 1,20,000, with a basic pay of Rs. 30,000 per month. An annual increment of 3% on basic pay is admissible in the second and third year. Other benefits include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Cafeteria Allowance at 35% of basic pay, medical insurance coverage up to Rs. 10 Lakhs with reimbursement up to Rs. 25,000 per annum, leave benefits, provident fund, gratuity, and TA/DA benefits as applicable to regular officers. Company quarters may be provided wherever available.
