Educational Qualification

As on 1 July 2026, candidates must have passed Intermediate or an equivalent examination recognised by the State Government. SC/ST candidates must have passed SSC or its equivalent and should have studied Intermediate, appearing for both first and second-year examinations. Age Limit

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 32 years as on 1 July 2026. Candidates must be born not earlier than 2 July 1994 and not later than 1 July 2008. Male candidates applying for Post Code 42 must meet the following PMT standards: Minimum Height – 167.6 cm, Minimum Chest – 86.3 cm, Minimum Chest Expansion – 5 cm. For Aboriginal Scheduled Tribes (ABO-ST) in specified Agency areas, the standards are 160 cm height and 80 cm chest with a minimum expansion of 3 cm.

Medical Standards

Candidates must have distant vision of 6/6 in both eyes and near vision of 0/5 in both eyes as per Snellen standard. Each eye must have a full field of vision. Colour blindness, squint, or any morbid condition of the eye or eyelids is a disqualification. Candidates must be free from bodily defects or infirmities that would make them unfit for the post.

The qualifying standards for General candidates are: 1600m in 8 minutes, 100m in 15 seconds, Long Jump 3.80 metres. For Ex-Servicemen: 1600m in 9 minutes 30 seconds, 100m in 16.5 seconds, Long Jump 3.65 metres.

Final Written Examination

The Final Written Examination consists of 200 objective-type questions for 200 marks with a duration of three hours. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for OC/EWS, 35% for BC, and 30% for SC/ST.

Syllabus

The syllabus for both written examinations is of Intermediate standard and includes English, Arithmetic (SSC standard), Reasoning/Mental Ability, General Science, History of India, Indian Culture and National Movement, Indian Geography, Polity and Economy, and Current Affairs. English questions will be set in English even in the Telugu and Urdu versions.

Salary

After successful completion of training, selected candidates will be appointed in the regular time scale of pay of Rs. 25,220-80,910 as per Revised Pay Scale 2022.
