PFRDA Grade A Exam Date 2026 – Complete Schedule Released

The Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) has officially announced the exam dates for the Grade A Officer (Assistant Manager) recruitment 2026. The Phase 1 online screening examination is scheduled for 15 October 2026, while the Phase 2 online main examination will be held on 20 November 2026. Candidates who qualify in Phase 1 will move forward to Phase 2. This recruitment drive aims to fill 30 vacancies across four streams: General, Research, Actuary and Official Language (Rajbhasha).

PFRDA Grade A Eligibility Criteria 2026

Educational Qualification (Stream-wise)

• General: Master's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years) in any discipline OR Bachelor's Degree in Law or Engineering OR ACA/FCA from ICAI OR ACS/FCS from ICSI OR ACMA/FCMA from ICMAI OR CFA from CFA Institute.
• Research: Master's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma (minimum two years) in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Financial Economics, Mathematical Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri. Business Finance, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistics & Informatics, Applied Statistics & Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Big Data Analytics, or Mathematics with one-year PG diploma in Statistics.
• Actuary: Graduation from a recognized University/Institute AND Pass or exemption in all seven Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India (IAI) Examination.
• Official Language (Rajbhasha): Master's Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject at Bachelor's level OR Master's Degree in Sanskrit/English/Economics/Commerce with Hindi as a subject at Bachelor's level OR Master's Degree in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation.

PFRDA Grade A Selection Process 2026

• Phase 1: Online Screening Examination (objective type).
• Phase 2: Online Main Examination (descriptive and objective).
• Phase 3: Interview.

Phase 1 consists of two papers, both with multiple-choice questions.

General Stream Paper 2 Subjects: Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, Economics and Pension Sector. For other streams, Paper 2 contains questions from the specialised subject related to the respective stream.

Phase 2 consists of two papers of 100 marks each.

Phase 2 Paper 2 (Stream-Specific)

General Stream Paper 2 Subjects: Commerce, Accountancy, Management, Finance, Costing, Companies Act, Economics and Pension Sector. For other streams, Paper 2 contains multiple-choice questions on the specialised subject.

PFRDA Grade A Salary 2026 (Revised)

The pay scale for Officer Grade A is Rs. 62,500 – 3,600(4) – Rs. 76,900 – 4,050(7) – Rs. 1,05,250 – EB – 4,050(4) – Rs. 1,21,450 – 4,650(1) – Rs. 1,26,100. At the starting stage, the approximate gross monthly salary is Rs. 2,05,000, inclusive of allowances and PFRDA's NPS contribution. Selected candidates also receive benefits such as Leave Fare Concession, medical expenses, personal accident insurance, children's education allowance, and more. A two-year probation period applies.

Phase 2 centres: Kolkata, Patna, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, Mumbai/MMR, Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Jaipur, Bangalore, Chandigarh/Mohali, Delhi/NCR, Lucknow, Chennai, Hyderabad, Ernakulam, Bhopal, Nagpur and Raipur.

Candidates can select up to three centres for Phase 1 and one centre for Phase 2. Those applying for two streams must select the same centres for both.
